Welcome to
About Me One afternoon in the fall of 1970, I found myself stopping at a real old-fashioned country auction at a grange hall in Plymouth, MA. There were only about 12 antiques dealers present as auctions at that time only interested antiques dealers, not the general public. I purchased a walnut marble top commode to match the one my grandmother had given me. Once home, I found inside the drawer a beautiful antique pure linen sheet set with the fanciest cutwork, needle lace, and hand embroidery I ever saw. After a day's soak, the once filthy sheet set became spotlessly white. As I ironed one pillowcase on the reverse side upon many layers of terrycloth towels, I saw the fancy hand stitches, I felt the sensuality of the linen, and I smelled the cleanliness of the fabric. I knew then and there that vintage linens would consume my life so I left my job at the county court house and instantly became a happy linen dealer. It has been 37 years now and the thought of finding another linen sheet set in need of my touch still excites me. Linen and cotton fabrics don't last forever but with the proper care, they will last a lifetime. I exhibit my linens along the eastern seaboard from Maine to Florida, choosing to show at small antiques shows rather than large, fairground type shows since linens are personal items. I can give my clients the individual attention needed to answer their questions without anyone ever having to be in a hurry.
