This is an exceptional oval portrait of a Victorian lady completely hand stitched with a simple needle and unbleached, natural linen thread. The detail of the eyebrows is quite remarkable. The original glass is convex and the oval frame measures 5.5" long x 4" wide. There is purple foil behind the needlelace. The frame was made by PICHARD in Germany with a patent pending.
