Wonderful example of American roadside native Indian beadwork of a pocket watch hutch in rich silk deep purple velvet. Glass beads are clear and it looks as if they are all in place with nothing missing except the plaid silk ribbon that once covered the cardboard back. The silk has since shattered since it was treated with a 'sizing' to keep it crisp all the while over the last 100 years it was disintegrating. There is an opening for your beloved antique pocket watch to be placed during the night for safe keeping and for morning time telling. The opening is lined with that plaid silk ribbon and is all intact.
The beaded loop for hanging is 2.5" long while the hutch is 6.5" long x 6" wide. There is NO fade, NO damage, NO repairs to this antique wall hanger. In excellent Victorian condition, of course.
