Victorian Celluloid Box
This is a wonderful Victorian era box made from a
cream colored celluloid to imitate real ivory.
Top is highly impressed with COLLARS and CUFFS and indeed, inside
there's a man's collar and a lady's collar ~ see third photo.
The embossed brass plated latch is tight and so are the two back hinges.
Inside lid has light blue satin and the bottom is lined in green paper.

As with most celluloid vanity boxes, rarely are they ever perfect.
This box has a small piece missing on the front left side and the
right side is lifting ~ so typical of these items since that's where
they are handled the most.
Celluloid gets brittle after a century of just existing.
Measures 6" wide x 6" deep x 5" high.
