This is a very vintage lace runner in the RETICELLA style with perhaps fabric as the beginning background then lace was made by building up a lacy fabric stitch by stitch. Completely made by a single needle and natural, unbleached linen thread. The overall geometric pattern also has acorns and creature-like figurals ~ see closeup photo. Very clean for being lovingly packed away for decades and I find NO breaks. Measures a grand 52" long x 18" wide.
