Lovely vintage OVAL bureau scarf or table runner with a BOUQUET of WHEAT for the pattern. At one time, a wheat harvest was a special occasion so the wheat was often bundled up to look like bouquets. The European oyster white cloth is a blend of cotton and linen since the fabric is sturdy and healthy. The cutwork has buttonhole stitches and the entire scalloped edge is hand embroidered.
Measures 36" long x 18" wide. Freshly washed by previous owner to be clean except for one quarter size grayish spot near the edge ~ won't be seen because your wood table will show through the cutwork ~ see first photo where I've enhanced it to show you exactly where it is.
