French King Sheet Set
Since we spend 1/3 of
our life in bed, don't you think we should sleep on the finest fabrics our money
can buy? Linen is the first choice but when it's just too heavy to handle or you
don't want to iron it, then the next best is fine percale cotton, VINTAGE
cotton, not that new cotton grown in some obscure country then sprayed with
formaldehyde to keep it from wrinkling ~ yes, FORMALDEHYDE! Do you really want
to sleep on a preservative that causes cancer in laboratory rats??? I didn't
think so!
So, to give you the best
night's sleep is this vintage finest Egyptian percale cotton king size top sheet
and two pillowshams. High thread count on this set but there's no way of
knowing. Fine, tiny stitches for the hand embroidery and cutwork. Center cameo
of a cherub is net darned over a gridwork and the two corner cameos of a lady
are appliquéd. Since I wasn't able to
photograph the sheet that measures 102" wide x 120" long, please see the last
photo of the two shams since it's the same design and pattern. The sheet
turn-down is 36". The two button back shams are 33" long x 20" deep. Clean and
ready for that great night's rest you so need.
