Edwardian LINEN Lady's SKIRT
Now you can look just like a Victorian lady
straight from 1900 as you sashay around in this snow white PURE LINEN skirt.
Light weight yet sturdy fabric for everyday wear for your croquet matches or for
a BRIDAL skirt! All
embroidery is stitched by hand in white cotton floss of florals scattered about
the skirt. Measures 25" around the waist ~ remember, they wore corsets at
that time so it wouldn't hurt to wear a waist cincher that's all elastic and
very comfortable to wear. Length is 39" in the front and 41" in the back. Hem is
3" deep and 152" around the bottom! There are 7 panels. There is no back closure
as the hooks were removed but there are 6 eyes still stitched on. Freshly
washed to be white, lightly starched for body, and pressed to show off the
embroidery. The light weightiness of this skirt needs a slip to hide the 3 small
holes near the bottom and one small thin spot on a hip area. A small patch with
embroidery would easily hide them. Other than that, this skirt is very wearable.
