Victorian Baby's Bib
I'd like to think that
some young, expecting mother took the time to make this charming baby's bib for
her child's christening since those heirloom gowns should be kept as soil free as
possible. Made of snow white linen with white hand embroidery in the shape of a
heart with a single initial of 'P'. Scallop stitched edging also has a row of
fine crochet lace. I believe these bibs were held closed with either gold or
brass baby pins.
Measures 10" long x 7.5" wide and 10" around the neck.
